Hello members,
Joined this forum 2 days ago, want to know more about CAD/CAM. Currently own a seat for Solidworks, Rhino4, Rhinocam2.0 pro, Rhinonest, and hopefully Powermill. I started building Desktop cnc machines as a hobby in 2004, big fan of Rapid Prototype, CNC Milling, Lathe machines, mechatronic related products and automation.

Permalink Reply by David M Bentsen on November 14, 2011 at 8:21pm Hello to all! I am new here and trying to network in all way's possible. In fact I am working in a factory just to pay the bill's. I am versed well in Auto CAD to 2010 / 9.0. I can design any piping system used in today's industries. I would like to find some contract projects that I can pick up to do at home in my spare time, but I would really love to land a sweet full-time job at a decent company. Good Luck to all and I hope someone can get me pointed in to the right direction.

Permalink Reply by Pavel Solin on June 13, 2012 at 11:10am Hi!
I am Pavel, the lead developer of NCLab (http://nclab.com). WikiCAD is a great page and it will take me some time to go through all the exciting resources provided here. In the meantime let me mention what I am bringing. I would like you to meet NCLab - a place where people can freely experiment with cool new technologies directly in the web browser. You can store your data in NCLab and run computations on the cloud, free for individual non-commercial use. It is our passion to make things available. NCLab has a nice Solid Modeling tool called PLaSM (Programming Language for Solid Modeling) that is developed by the CAD group at the University of Rome. This is a scripting language which is particularly useful for designs that contain variable parameters, and it is really great for teaching. If you have a minute, there are a few videos on the bottom of this page: http://femhub.com/nclab-tutorials/. I am adding a screenshot of the title page of a new textbook on PLaSM in NCLab. Talk to you soon!
