exporting 2d-drawings

A workaround that might work is to instal Cutpdf writer on that computer. So when you want to generate a 2d pdf. You do a print and you select the CutPDF Writer from the pull down.

I did do a export to AutoCAD 2010/2011 and yes it did change some ligne thickness.

Thank you Frech. I am going to try this. Actually it is not only the line weight info that is mashed up, also symbols on the drawing are corrupted when exporting to dwg format.

I would like to urge SpaceClaim to fix this. Designing in SC saves me time, it is annoying to loose it again at the back door. A correct wysiwyg export to pdf, dwg and dxf of 2d technical drawings is a requirement for SpaceClaim Engineer as long as not 100% of the technical world is using SC.

Hello Syb Leijenaar, I did a export of a simple drawing with Ra symbole, note, geometric tolerance annotations GDT and a table and i all got them in the dwg. What would be the precis symbols that are being lost. Are they Standard symbols or custom. One what version of SC are you running and what service pack.

Hello Frech, I am using the newest version of SC Engineer (updated it a few weeks ago). The annotations that are not converted are standard geometric tolerance symbols. Instead of the triangle connected to a box with 'A' for example I get a dot connected with the letter 'A' without a box after conversion. Also the geometric symbols like cylindricity or stroke are not converted. These become a 'X' in the autocad drawing.

Your work around with CutePDF I have used now to get the drawings to the workshop.
