for Tom Gostola,

SolidWorks Student 2010-2011 is SW2010, the first years dictates the SW release.

Educational\Student versions are a version behind the commercial.

Done with college soon. And my part time crappy job turned me down for a design engineering internship. Their loss, probably wouldn't have even paid me. 15.00..they said i was not qualified enough. They never let me touch keyboard. lol Anymore training would be overkill. Was looking forward to being on top. With a big chair. Someday i'll be in the desgining room.

On the SolidWorks website I saw they have recently put up tutorials to help anyone learn the software better.

Check it out here and let me know if it helped you.

I am using the 2010-2011 SolidWorks Student Edition.  I routinely run across the need to say which year's version of SolidWorks I am using, where they are assuming a commercial version and Student Version is not an option.    I assume the correct answer would be 2010?  Anybody know?

Also I am wanting to get the "Real View" graphics working and am hoping someone there has some experience with this machine.
HP s5220f Slimline
Windows 7, 64 bit
Intel Pentium, Dual Core E5300 @ 2.66 GHz.
640GB Hard drive
4GB RAM
220W power supply - would like to not have to upgrade as they are very high priced when made to fit SFF.
PC would require SFF graphics card
PCI Express (1?) or 16
Graphic resource is currently limited and I would like to put in a graphics card which would enable "Real View".  There is for sure, a Dell Inspiron - also slimline with the same internals and I think also a standard size desktop in both HP and Dell with the same internals, if that helps get a line on anything.

Hey everybody,

It's official, SolidWorks announced today via twitter that it has shipped ONE MILLION student licenses as of today. Congrats to them on their success and let's wish all the students out their learning SolidWorks, good luck with their designs.

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and new to SolidWorks and would be grateful for any help I could get when I hit a snag I can't solve on my own.

Using 2010-2011 Student Version.

Thanx
