CTRL + N
You can use this shortcut to open a new AutoCAD drawing file.
CTRL + S
Use this command to save your currently open AutoCAD file to your disk. If you have never saved the file before, the "Save Drawing As" window will appear, allowing you to name the file and select a destination. For all subsequent uses, CTRL + S will overwrite the existing file with your latest changes. It is highly recommended to use this shortcut frequently to avoid data loss.
CTRL + Shift + S
This command allows you to save the file you are currently working on as a new file with a different name or to a different location on your computer (Save As).
CTRL + O
Use this shortcut to open an AutoCAD file that has been previously saved on your computer.
CTRL + 1
If you select an object and press CTRL + 1, the Properties palette will open. This window allows you to access and modify numerous features of the selected object. You can also access this menu by typing PR or CH in the command line and pressing Enter.
CTRL + 2
Use this key combination to open the Design Center Palette, which allows you to manage and insert content such as blocks, layers, and line types.
CTRL + 8
This shortcut opens the QuickCalc calculator within AutoCAD. You can use it to perform unit conversions, as well as basic and complex mathematical calculations.
